We want all activities in Jakarta to follow the rules
Jakarta Provincial Government has sealed 932 buildings that violate the rules without building permit (IMB) on Island D that is the result of reclamation.
Those sealed buildings are consisting of 409 homes and 212 offices that have been built, as well as 311 offices and homes that have not been built completely.
"Today, June 7, 2018, we do sealing towards unlicensed buildings on the lands belong to the city," said Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, when he led the sealing process, on Island D, Thursday (6/7).
He asserted the city is committed to enforce the rules and give sanctions to the violators.
"We want all activities in Jakarta to follow the rules. Alhamdulillah (thank God), the sealing went smoothly. We do this by involving officers of Satpol PP and Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Dept., all goes well," he told.
It is hoped to be a valuable lesson to the public to ensure obtaining permits first before starting to build.
"All must have the permit first and must comply with the rules and regulations. After closed, our officer will supervise the location, there should be no activity in this pl
ace," he stressed.
