Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly, inaugurated the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) in Marina Ancol Pier, North Jakarta, Wednesday (4/25).
TPI in Marina is an effort to improve the service
He disclosed, the establishment of this service office is a joint venture of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and West Jakarta Special Class I Immigration Office.
"TPI in Marina is an effort to improve the service. All this time, they are usually served in the Tanjung Priok Pier," he stated.
He hoped its existence could tourists feel more comfortable. Because previously, tourist services mixed with peti kemas service or locally known as loading and unloading service in Tanjung Priok.
As an illustration, the data of tourist arrivals in December 2017 recorded 14.04 million people. This number increased 28.81 percent than last year that reached only 11.52 million foreign tourists.
City Secretary, Saefullah, appreciated the initiation of TPI establishment at Marina Ancol Pier. It is hoped that it could increase the supervision of foreigners entering Jakarta.
"Hopefully it will bring good progress to the citizens," he stated.
