City Council Commission D asks Jakarta Provincial Government to improve coordination with neighboring areas and central government to succeed flood, tidal flood, and inundation handling program in Jakarta.

"It needs to keep coordination with central government. Including comprehensive cooperation with neighboring areas

"It needs to keep coordination with central government. Including comprehensive cooperation with neighboring areas," said Iman Satria, Chairman of Commission D, Friday (10/6).

According to him, coordination needs to be done since land acquisition for river, dam, and retention basin normalization program is still hampered. Based on main duties and functions, Jakarta Provincial Government only has authority to free the land in normalization program.

"There must be solution to handle flood in Jakarta," he added.

Though, he admitted, Jakarta Provincial Government breakthrough in flood handling program in last five years has given a quite good result.

"We want this program to be continued and succeeded," he closed.
