Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Dept. prepares pumps since rainy season is starting to occur in Jakarta.
There are 451 pump units. We will prepare all of them
Jakarta SDA Dept. Head, Teguh Hendarwan said his side has instructed personnel on the field to operate pumps.
"There are 451 pump units. We will prepare all of them," he said at City Council Building, Wednesday (9/27).
He explained, inundation occurred in many areas due to rain in Jakarta since morning. Such as inundation in Sunrise Garden, West Jakarta.
"We receive report about inundation in Sunrise Garden, but it has receded and been handled fast," he expressed.
He added, there are inundation in Petogogan settlement area, South Jakarta with 20-30 centimeters high. It occurred since Krukut River normalization is not finished 100 percent yet.
"With rainfall like this, at least it can show locations prone to inundation and flood thus we can evaluate," he closed.
