Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. predicts the capital needs 47,282 qurban animals for Idul Adha this year. The number refers to the slaughter of the qurban animal in previous year.

According to Darjamuni, Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept., qurban animals that arrive in the city are from East Java, Central Java, Lampung, NTT and so forth.

"Predictably, the needs of qurban animals this year is the same with last year, that reached 47,282 animals," he expressed, Tuesday (8/29).

He mentions, those 47,282 qurban animals consist of 11,448 cows, 204 buffalos, 33,855 goats and 1,775 sheep. They are spread in five cities and one district.

Even, he ensured, qurban animal sales for Idul Adha are healthy and meet the requirements. Moreover, his dept. has been coordinating with the livestock supply areas thus the animals distributed are accompanied by animal health certificate from the veterinarian.

"We also continue to examine qurban animals at slaughterhouses, like from health and animals that are qualify," he finished.
