Jakarta Forestry Dept. has arrested three perpetrators who have cut down tree illegally on Jalan Yankes AD, Munjul Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta. They are being processed after being netted during OTT operation when they tried to cut down the tree on the roadside.

According to Henry Perez Sitorus, Section Head of Community Empowerment and Law Enforcement, his side is still investigating those perpetrators. After it is done, their document will be continued to the police.

"They have violated bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order article 12g, with fines sanction by Rp 5 million to Rp 50 million. They were netted yesterday," he stated, Tuesday (7/25). 

The officer also has confiscated some evidences such as senso machines, pick-up trucks and logged timber. Those will be used as evidence.

"Until this July, there have been five cases occurred by arresting six perpetrators. Two of them have been jailed last June," he closed.
