20 freelancers of North Jakarta Water Sub-dept. are dredging water channel on Jalan Mengkudu, RW 08 Lagoa Urban Village, Koja Sub-district.

North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Yunaldi said, the channel itself was dredged up to 720 meters length.

"Both sides of the channel are strewn by mud, so we dredge it. We do this to avoid inundation, especially when it rains," he expressed, Wednesday (7/19).

Yunaldi added, mud dredging as deep as one meter has been carried out since four days ago. If it runs well, it will be complete within one month ahead.

"By so, the channel will be able to accommodate water in large quantities. And water can flow smoothly and minimize inundation," he closed.
