Jakarta Environment Dept. continues to encourage waste bank to be placed in every school in Jakarta.
There are 100 schools which equipped with waste bank
There are 100 schools in five Jakarta regions that already have waste bank.
"There are 100 schools equipped with waste bank," said Isnawa Adji, Head of Jakarta Environment Dept., Tuesday (6/13).
He mentioned there are 11 schools equipped with waste bank in West Jakarta, 14 in East Jakarta, 41 in Central Jakarta, 28 in North Jakarta, and 6 in South Jakarta.
"Gradually, we urge all schools in Jakarta to have waste bank," he added.
According to him, for all this time, waste bank has made waste handling to be managed better. It also effective to reduce health and environment problems.
"We must educate people to care their environment early, start from school age children through waste bank," he closed.
