City Council appreciated Betawi souvenir outlet existence in Monas Lenggang Jakarta. Hopefully, similar outlet will be added in another travel destination.

City Council Vice Chairman, Triwisaksana affirmed this outlet construction shows the concern of Jakarta Provincial Government to preserve Betawi art and culture.

"This can be a medium to promote Betawi culture," he said, Friday (3/24).

He hopes similar central souvenir can be built in another travel destination such as Setu Babakan Budaya Betawi Village (PBB), Kota Tua, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). Because tourists who come to Jakarta are not only visit Monas.

"I suggest, Betawi souvenir outlet can be realized in airport, station, and big bus terminal which are the access for tourists. Thus they can buy souvenirs in there," he closed.
