Flood handling in the capital is still hampered by people living on the riverbank As a result, normalization of river and reservoir cannot run maximally.
"Normalization project is not yet one hundred percent. This is because some rivers have yet to be normalized," said Sumarsono, Jakarta Acting Governor, at City Hall, Wednesday (1/11).
Nevertheless, he assessed the current flood is better than before. Considering various ways have been intensified earlier.
"I am optimistic, despite rainfall is high, our effort which has been done won't be useless," he expressed.
He added that legal matter is one of the obstacles for flood handling. For instance is lawsuit from residents of Bukit Duri to District Court (PTUN).
"In essence, this is the true, return on normalization," he said.
