Jakarta Regional Secretary Assistant for Governmental Division, Bambang Sugiyono, prohibits urban village and sub-district head to give PPSU personnel task outside their function. Or heavy task which is should be run by regional working unit.

“The governor regulation is already explained. PPSU personnel only working on light task. Not for building and banner controlling or arranging traffic,” he said, Thursday (9/15).

Bambang gave example, PPSU personnel task is cleaning water channel and trash at settlement. PPSU personnel are able to do big task based on request.

“All task should not be given to PPSU personnel fully,” he added.

As reported earlier, Jakarta City Council Commission A Secretary, Syarif, stated PPSU function is every urban village is overlapping with the other working units.

“We can see PPSU personnel sweeping the street, controlling banner, pruning trees, controlling building, arranging traffic and so on,” he stated, Friday (9/9).

According to him, PPSU personnel should handle matter at settlement which is untouchable by the working units.
