Services include routine physical check-ups, zoonotic disease prevention, blood work, and ultrasound imaging.
“This mobile clinic allows pet owners to access affordable veterinary care close to home without traveling far to animal clinics or hospitals,” he expressed, Thursday (11/5).
Cats accounted for the vast majority of treated pets at 546, followed by 192 dogs and 16 exotic animals, such as civets, monkeys, rabbits, turtles, and parrots.
Monthly turnout showed strong interest, starting with 130 animals from 97 owners in July, before surging to 214 animals belonging to 176 residents in August.
The clinic served 189 animals from 163 owners in September, and saw numbers increase again in October with 221 animals from 178 residents.
“The mobile clinic has served 34 sites throughout North Jakarta so far, including residential areas, government service centers, public spaces, and RPTRA parks,” he explained.
North Jakarta Livestock and Animal Health Section Head Adil Abdillah added that the mobile unit’s field operations occasionally encounter logistical bottlenecks due to tight street access in crowded settlements that cannot accommodate large vehicles.
To circumvent the problem, his team identifies strategic staging areas nearby, ensuring that pet owners can still access veterinary care conveniently.
“Residents’ enthusiastic response has motivated us to continuously map underserved communities. Whenever roads into residential clusters are restricted, we deploy the van to the nearest viable staging point,” he explained.

“We encourage everyone to take advantage of this service and get their pets checked routinely. After all, healthy pets mean healthier households and communities,” he stated,
