The much-anticipated inauguration of the LRT Jakarta Kelapa Gading–Manggarai route, originally set for Wednesday (8/26), has been rescheduled.

According to Marulina Dewi, Head of Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency, the shift is primarily a timing adjustment. She emphasized that the delay does not affect the overall development and expansion goals of the Jakarta LRT network.

We have decided to move the inauguration date

“After a final review of the planned activities, we have decided to move the inauguration date. Our priority is to hold the ceremony once every detail of the facilities has been perfected for the public,” she expressed in a statement released, Wednesday (8/26).

Dewi clarified that the rescheduling is part of a commitment to perfection, focusing on fine-tuning services to ensure a truly inclusive experience for every commuter.

Despite the change in the ceremony's date, both the Jakarta government and PT Jakarta Propertindo remain fully on track with the project's development roadmap.

The 12.2-kilometer LRT Jakarta extension is set to become a vital artery for the city, connecting Kelapa Gading to Manggarai via 11 modern stations, including Boulevard Utara, Velodrome, Pramuka, and Manggarai transit hub.

The LRT Jakarta Kelapa Gading–Manggarai route is currently active with a flat fare by Rp 5,000. The new date for the official inauguration ceremony will be announced in due course.
