A 144 square meter of land that was used as an illegal garbage dump on the edge of Jalan Kedoya Pesing, RT 11/07, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, has now been arranged into a park.
Head of Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Febri Ariansyah said his party is arranging the land right in front of the Gadog Public Cemetery so that it becomes greener, more beautiful and no longer used as a garbage dump.
The land was dirty and full of rubbish
"Previously, the land was dirty and full of rubbish, but we arranged it to be cleaner and more beautiful," he said, Thursday (7/2).
He added that the work was implemented in stages starting last April and completed at the end of June. In addition to landscaping the area, a walking track and seating were also created.
Meanwhile, Head Section of Economy and Development Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Puji Rahayu stated the development of the location, named Gadog Park, was carried out in stages starting at the end of April 2026.
In the initial stages of the development, the land was cleared and tidied. Then, the West Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency built a 40-meter sidewalk and cafeteria on the site.
Then PPSU together with West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency constructed the park.
"The physical construction is now complete. All that remains is to plant some ornamental trees to enhance the beauty," she stated.
