The Central Jakarta Government quickly handled the landslide on the banks of the West Flood Canal (KBB), Jalan Administrasi Negara I RT 01/RW 07 Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang.

Head of Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Agung Suryansyah Noor said his party came to follow up on complaints from residents of RW 07 that there had been a landslide which resulted in two residents' houses and the Waste Disposal Site (TPS) at the location experiencing severe cracks on June 19.

"We asked the building owners to vacate their houses and coordinated with the district and city levels to anticipate landslides," he said, Monday (6/29).

A week later, Agung continued, two houses on the banks of KBB Jalan Administrasi Negara I RT 01/RW 07 Bendungan Hilir experienced a landslide at around 5:48 AM.

"The temporary waste disposal site (TPS) in RW 07 Benhil was also affected. Thankfully, there were no casualties in the landslide," he added.

His party has also carried out mediation between the owner of the landslide building and the Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Friday (6/26) evening.

Moreover, his party has also sent a letter of appeal to residents of RW 07 Benhil to close the road halfway to anticipate further landslides.

"Only motorcyclists are permitted to pass. Cars and trucks are not allowed to pass to prevent further damage," he explained.

His party also set up a post and put PPSU and Satpol PP personnel from Benhil Urban Village on standby to monitor the landslide location.

Meanwhile, Head of Tanah Abang Environmental Unit, Aripin stated his party has deactivated the temporary TPS operations for RW 07 on Jalan Administrasi Negara I RT 01/RW 07 Bendungan Hilir, on June 23, 2026.

"Three days before the landslide occurred, the activity of the garbage truck fleet at the temporary TPS RW 07 had been deactivated and diverted to RW 06 Benhil," he stated.
