Joint personnel from the Central Jakarta City Administration dismantled a microcell tower pole along the Cideng riverbank on Jalan Kebon Kacang 30, Tanah Abang, on Monday (5/25).

The 16-meter microcell pole was dismantled as part of a broader area management program along Jalan Kebon Kacang 30 that has been ongoing since April 2026.

According to Central Jakarta Mayor Arifin, the administration had previously issued warning letters to the pole owner before carrying out the dismantling.

“First, second, and third warning letters had already been issued, but the pole owner never showed up, so we proceeded with forced dismantling,” he asserted.

He explained that a crane belonging to the Jakarta Public Works Agency was deployed to dismantle the microcell pole. The area, which had previously been used by street vendors and illegal parking operators, will later be planted with Tabebuya trees to create a greener and more attractive environment.

Arifin added that the administration would also install iron fencing along the park area on the Cideng riverbank to prevent vendors from returning to sell on public facilities.

“We also urge residents along Jalan Kebon Kacang 30 to help keep the surrounding environment more orderly,” he emphasized.
