Five fire trucks with 25 personnel from the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency, Monday (5/25), successfully put out a fire at a plastic warehouse on Jalan Peternakan Raya, Semut Alley, RT 06/04, Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng.

Ahmad Syaiful, Head of Operations for the Sub-agency stated that this was the second fire at this location. His team also extinguished the fire at the same location last week.

"We received reports of a re-ignition, as there are still many piles of plastic material there," he said.

His party received information about the fire from residents to the command center at around 7.30 this morning.

Immediately, his party deployed five fire engines with 25 officers to handle the situation.

Due to the large pile of flammable materials and the potential for re-ignition, Syaiful added his team was still cooling down the location as of 12.00 PM.

"We are waiting for heavy equipment to break down the material and ensure there is no re-ignition," he stated.
