As many as 30 joint personnel conducted Wednesday's Sidewalk Order program along Jalan Dr Saharjo, Manggarai Selatan Urban Village, Tebet District, South Jakarta.

Head of Manggarai Selatan Urban Village, Sri Nurwiyanti said the activity was focused on controlling street vendors occupying the sidewalk.

"We also carry out the arrangement and repair of public facilities, such as arranging utility cables, painting curbs, and electric poles," he said, Wednesday (4/22).

According to him, this step was taken to increase the comfort and safety of public facility users, especially pedestrians.

Meanwhile, Head of Manggarai Selatan Urban Village's Satpol PP Unit, Muhammad Eriek Santika said this activity also targeted illegal parking and those in need of social welfare services (PPKS).

"If a violation is found, we will issue an appeal or warning first. However, if it continues, action will be taken in accordance with the regulations using a humane approach," he emphasized.
