A total of 20 Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management (PPSU) officers held a clean-up activity on Jalan Utama Dermaga, Pulau Harapan Urban Village, North Seribu Islands District.

Head of Harapan Island Urban Village, Muhammad Nuralim said this activity is a routine agenda and a form of commitment from the urban village government to maintaining cleanliness and improving the quality of public facilities.

According to him, the pier area plays an important role as the main face of Harapan Island, as well as an entry point for the activities of residents and tourists.

"We also make improvements to the facilities so that the public and tourists feel more comfortable," he said, Wednesday (4/22).

Improvements to facilities and infrastructure include gazebos, curbs (road dividers), water channels, and other supporting facilities.

"Repairs are carried out in stages to ensure that the dock area remains suitable for use and has aesthetic value," he added.

He appealed to the public to help maintain environmental cleanliness, especially in the dock area by not littering and helping to maintain public facilities that have been repaired.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Khadizah (55) appreciates the efforts made to organize the area because the condition of the pier is now cleaner and tidier than before.

"We're very pleased. The pier is now more comfortable, especially since it's the center of local activity and the entry point for tourists," she admitted.
