Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized his commitment to enhancing the city's financial management standards.

He expressed this dedication to transparency and accountability at the Entry Meeting for the Local Government Financial Statement (LKPD) 2025 audit by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) at their Jakarta office in Pancoran.

It is a means to share best practices

This initiative is essential for auditing local government financial statements to guarantee transparent and accountable financial management.

Attendees included BPK Member V, State Audit V Director General, Regional BPK heads, and Governors and DPRD Chairs from 16 provinces in Java and Sumatra.

DPR Commission II Chair, Muhammad Rifqinizamy Karsayuda was also present to support the enhancement of transparent and accountable local governance.

Pramono said the entry meeting is a key moment to enhance synergy between regional governments to improve financial management quality.

"This event is more than just a coordination forum; it is a means to share best practices and encourage ongoing improvements in regional governance," he remarked, Thursday (4/2).

He noted that BPK’s audit of financial reports is strategic in driving transparency and accountability.

"The audit is more than a routine duty; it is a chance to evaluate, find weaknesses, and reinforce internal controls in local financial management," he said.

He added that the Jakarta government and other regional authorities within the DJPKN V scope have submitted their financial reports as required by law.

"We commit to full cooperation during the audit, ensuring access to all required data, documents, and explanations," he expressed.

He added that in the effort to improve the quality of regional financial and asset management, local governments recognize the increasingly complex challenges ahead.

"We hope that the BPK will continue to provide guidance, input, and constructive corrections to strengthen accountability and the quality of regional financial governance in the future," he said.

He emphasized that the expected Unqualified Opinion (WTP) is not merely an administrative achievement, but a reflection of public trust in regional financial management that encourages public participation in the development process.

In line with Jakarta's vision as a global city, strengthening transparent, accountable, and high-integrity governance serves as the primary foundation for achieving sustainable development.

"Hopefully, the synergy between local governments and the BPK will be maintained to continuously improve the quality of state financial management," he concluded.

For context, based on the achievement of follow-up BPK recommendations, as of the second semester of 2025, the completion rate among local governments within the scope of DJPKN V has reached 80.71 percent.

This achievement demonstrates the commitment of local governments to following up on audit results, although continuous efforts are still required to resolve all remaining outstanding recommendations.
