The Jakarta Festive Wonders 2026 event, which began during the Chinese New Year period and continued through Eid al-Fitr, or from March 4-31, 2026, successfully increased economic transactions in Jakarta.

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung said the total transaction value during this period even reached Rp 67.5 trillion.

"This period, during the Chinese New Year and Eid al-Fitr holidays, saw total transactions reach 67.5 trillion rupiah. This is an extraordinary record," he said, Monday (3/31).

Jakarta Festive Wonders 2025 is being organized in collaboration with various parties. A total of 101 shopping centers in Jakarta are participating, featuring themed decorations and massive discounts to attract visitors.

Pramono detailed that transactions for the Mudik to Jakarta program reached Rp 20 billion, the result of ticket purchases from Citilink, PT KAI, and hotel rentals in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government. This program successfully supported increased transactions at shopping centers, tourist attractions, and culinary destinations.

The economic boost during Chinese New Year and Eid al-Fitr also had a direct impact on regional revenue realization. Tax revenue realization in the first quarter of 2026 exceeded the established target, reaching 100.28 percent.

Realization of tax revenue was recorded at Rp 7.3 trillion and realization of retribution revenue was Rp 113.4 billion.

"Jakarta's tax and levy revenue in the first quarter was very encouraging because economic activity was running well, starting from Christmas, then Chinese New Year, then Nyepi, the ogoh-ogoh parade, then welcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," he explained.
