Governor Pramono Anung confirmed that Jakarta is ready to implement a once-a-week WFH policy, but will wait for central government regulations before moving forward.
"We will adhere to the official rules and guidance issued by the central government," he stated, at the City Council Building, Monday (3/30).
We will adhere to the official rules
Pramono confirmed that WFH for Jakarta administration will not fall on a Wednesday, as that day is already reserved as "public transport day" for civil servants.
"It won't be Wednesday because that is our public transport day. I will pick a different day once the central government’s decision is final," he noted.
The central government's plan for a weekly WFH day for state employees is designed to cut fuel costs without compromising public service efficiency.
