Ragunan Zoo (TMR) saw 421,869 visitors during the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Fitr break between March 22 and 29, 2026. This figure exceeded the management's original target of 400,000 tourists.

Ragunan Zoo Public Relations Head, Wahyudi Bambang noted that the influx of visitors went beyond initial projections.

"We forecast approximately 400,000 visitors for the period of March 22–29, 2026, but the final count exceeded that target by the end of the break," he remarked, Monday (3/30)

He detailed that the peak turnout was at the start of the break. March 22 saw 72,311 people, March 23 recorded 80,790, and March 24 reached 69,890. The trend then dipped: 49,476 on March 25, 29,542 on March 26, and 16,604 on March 27.

"Visitor counts bounced back as the holiday ended, with 44,636 visitors on March 28 and 58,620 on March 29," he explained.

Beyond recreation, he hopes Ragunan Zoo offers educational benefits, especially for children to discover various wildlife.

He added that despite the large crowds, the situation remained orderly. To manage the influx, management provided 27 parking areas and dispatched 854 joint personnel for visitor security.

"This achievement stems from the cooperation of everyone involved, from well-behaved visitors to the agencies that supported us during the Eid break," he added.

According to him, Ragunan has resumed normal operations post-holiday, opening daily from 7 AM to 4 PM. He added, Mondays are designated as animal rest days, except when they coincide with a national holiday.

"Our priority remains keeping the wildlife in peak health by routinely providing nutritious food and vitamins," he stated.
