To guarantee a smooth Eid travel season, the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency mobilized 292 personnel and 24 tow trucks to manage potential congestion and traffic issues at key locations.
East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Harlem Simanjuntak stated, Personnel have been deployed since D-8 (March 13) through D+7 of Eid al-Fitr 1457 Hijri on March 29.

"We are collaborating with the National Police and the Military to maintain traffic flow and security for all motorists," he noted, Wednesday (3/25)
He noted that personnel are stationed at 48 monitoring sites and integrated security posts throughout East Jakarta.
"Logistical support, including 10 portable traffic signs, 200 cones, 100 road barriers, and operational vehicles, is also being deployed," he added.
East Jakarta Operational Section Head, Emiral August Dwinanto added, key security locations cover strategic hubs like Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, Jatinegara Station, TMII, and other community centers.
Additionally, surveillance is concentrated on 19 traffic-prone areas, such as Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Slamet Riyadi, Pemuda Arion and Old Halim intersections, along with Pasar Rebo and Halim Perdanakusuma.
"It aims to ensure that traffic flow remains smooth, especially at points with the potential for congestion," he stated.
According to him, 15 personnel are also stationed at five crucial locations, namely Halim Perdanakusuma Toll Exit, Cililitan/Kodam Jaya Toll Exit, Garuda Traffic Light, Pasar Rebo Traffic Light, and TMII area.
"Each location is reinforced with three personnel and one tow truck," he detailed.
Beyond route security, the same action is also focusing on public cemeteries (TPU) that usually see a surge in visitors paying their respects.
"Deployment at various cemeteries, such as Penggilingan Layur, Kemiri Sunan Giri, Pondok Kelapa, and Pondok Ranggon, will take place from the day before until the day after Eid," he stated.
