Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo together with Jakarta City Council Legislator, Muhammad Thamrin, reviewed the passenger returning flow at Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal.

Syafrin said the increase in passenger numbers had been visible since March 23. The returning flow reached around 80 percent compared to normal days.

"The passenger returning flow starts to increase in a number of bus terminals in Jakarta. Conditions remain under control and supporting facilities are considered very adequate," he said, Tuesday (3/24).

He added that the peak of returning flow is expected to occur today and on March 28 and 29. To anticipate the surge in passengers, the agency has prepared additional transportation services, including Transjakarta bus operations on 14 corridors.

"Some of them operate 24 hours a day. In addition, microtransit services are also available on certain routes," he added.

According to him, the agency remains monitoring seven main bus terminals namely Pulo Gebang, Kampung Rambutan, Kalideres, Tanjung Priok, Lebak Bulus, Grogol, and Muara Angke.

Meanwhile, Head of Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain stated the increase of passenger returning flow was seen one day after Eid.

"2,251 passengers using 163 buses arrived," he stated.

As of today up to 12 PM, 2,501 passengers using 107 also arrived at the terminal.

"Mostly the passengers came from West and Central Java," he added.

He ensured that, despite the surge in passengers, the terminal remained safe and orderly thanks to the preparedness of hundreds of joint officers.
