As many as 40 MSMEs enliven West Jakarta bazaar called Semarak Bazar dan Gema Ramadan. The activity held at the local mayor office is held from Wednesday (3/11) up to Friday (3/13).

Head of West Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Sub-agency, Iqbal Idham Ramid, said this collaborative activity with regional-owned food enterprises (BUMD) and various modern retail players aims to help people obtain food and other necessities during Ramadan and leading up to Eid al-Fitr.

"This bazaar presents various basic necessities and MSME products at affordable prices," he said.

Iqbal added that the 40 MSME business actors who participated in the bazaar consisted of 30 business actors fostered by the West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency, eight PKK cadres and two Dekranasda representatives.

"Those who participated have gone through a selection process," he added.

He continued that this bazaar provides cheap food packages with prices starting from Rp 50 thousand - Rp 150 thousand.

"The regionally-owned food and retail market company has prepared a quota of up to 200 cheap food packages," he continued.

Iqbal believes this activity can increase economic activity and strengthen partnerships between local governments and businesses.
