Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama is supporting a downsizing plan towards one million civil servants (PNS) that initiated by Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry (KemenPAN-RB).

"This is just a discourse. But it will be applied soon, because this is a mandate of Law about State Civil Apparatus. We will see," he stated, after doing a pilgrimage to the Hero Cemetery Park, Kalibata, South Jakarta, Friday (6/3).

He continued the number of civil servants under Jakarta Provincial Government is very a lot. Yet not all performances are good. Hence, he has cut thousands civil servants who are not competent.

"Our employee is rampant in every units and technical management units. They diligently tap the finger print but the person is not present. People like this must be eliminated, lazy PNS weighed heavily on our nation," he finished.
