As many as 124 online rental cars run road worthiness (KIR) tests at Pulogadung Vehicle KIR Test (PKB), East Jakarta, Monday (5/16). Those cars are joint in Indonesian Car Rental Business Association (PPRI).

The tests given for those cars are same with public transports. Starting from administration, vehicle documents, engine serial, chassis, up to all vehicle checking.

Retribution for KIR tests is Rp 92 thousands. Rp 87 thousands for retribution and Rp 5,000 for administration.

Tiyana Brotoadi, Pulogadung PKB, admitted KIR tests for online rental car is done after the tests for public transports is completed.

“They have completed the administration process, now we check the physic,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Andri Yansyah, appreciates PPRI members who already running the tests.

“They will get recommendation for PTSP to get operational and implementation license,” he stated.
