Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama hopes revision of Presidential Decree (Perpres) and Government Regulation (PP) related to Light Rail Transit (LRT) could be done fast.

“We must revise Perpres No. 9 and PP to develop LRT directly from BUMD we have chosen,” he said, Wednesday (3/30).

According to him, Perpres and PP only manages about directly pointing BUMN, not BUMD. In fact, Basuki wants BUMD to develop LRT since there is no time for auction.

“No time for auction. If BUMD wants take a part in this project, they must run auction. But we need direct pointing,” he added.

Basuki admitted to choose PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) to develop LRT. It is targeted that LRT groundbreaking could be run in May.
