The Fatahillah Mosque located in City Hall Complex is only for a worship place, but also a reminder to whole Jakarta civil servants not to corrupt.

Civil servant knows we have mosque at City Hall, hopefully they won't corrupt when pray or see the mosque

"Civil servant knows we have mosque at City Hall, hopefully they won't corrupt when pray or see the mosque," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, Friday (1/29).

He disclosed, he deliberately chose mosque design with a large dome and high tower thus civil servants and guests can see this magnificent mosque. This is because the location is beside Block G building that has 24 floors.

"You can see the mosque from your office's door or window. That's why I chose mosque design with large dome and high tower," he stated.

The mosque construction is initiated since September 2015. It spent Rp 18.8 billion from 2015 City Budget (APBD). The mosque has two floors with first floor wide about 410 square meters and second floor with 594 square meters, as well as can accommodate more than 1,000 pilgrims.
