Jakarta Tax Service Department is about to send 282 officers to supervise and check tax to 124 locations of New Year's Eve celebration.
It is also to raise awareness of taxpayers to meet their obligations
According to Agus Bambang, Head of Jakarta Tax Service Department, the officer began to work at 8 PM-3 AM. Besides anticipating entertainment event on New Year's Eve, the activity also aims to optimize collection of entertainment tax.
"It is also to raise awareness of taxpayers to meet their obligations. Each location is prepared three to four officers," he told, Thursday (12/31), after giving a briefing to the tax officers at the Tax Office, Jalan Abdul Muis, Central Jakarta.
It is hoped entertainment tax could increase or reach 90 percent.
"At this time, tax revenue in Jakarta is already 89.54 percent, until tonight we are optimistic it can hit 90 percent," he stressed.
He added, the tax officers in the field not to be affected with things that can harm themselves and others.
