This year, Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration (Nakertrans) Department is about to send 10 families from Jakarta to Salu Andeang, Mamuju Tengah Regency, West Sulawesi.
" In addition to balance population density, this program is one of our efforts to improve residents' welfare"
Jakarta Nakertrans Department Head, Andri Yansyah stated, this year Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) provides quota of 10 families for Jakartans who want to transmigrate.
"There are requirements to be transmigrants. They must be married, have complete administrative documents such as family card (KK) and e-KTP, and don't have permanent job," he explained, Thursday (4/11).
Until today, he informed, there are 12 families who have registered to be transmigrants. They must be selected first because Kemendes PDTT only provides 10 families quota for this year.
"Selection will be conducted in July and departure in September," he added.
In this program, Kemendes PDTT facilitates the transmigrants with land and dwelling house. It is important for transmigrant to have a strong will, ability to adapt quickly with new environment, good will, motivation and able to work hard.
"Salu Andeang is potential area for cultivation and breeding. So, we will provide hand tractor, seeds, fertilizer, and livestock for their survival," he said.
His side also supports the transmigrants by giving them training before departure, business assistance, life assurance, and others.
"In addition to balance population density, this program is one of our efforts to improve residents' welfare," he added.
