Pramono: Curly Chili Supply and Prices Back on Track

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has assured the public that the supply and pricing of curly chilies in the capital will soon return to an even keel following a recent market spike.

Pramono explained that the recent price hike was caused by heavy rains taking a toll on crops in producing regions, resulting in a supply crunch.

In response, the Jakarta government is pulling out all the stops to stabilize the situation, from rigorous market monitoring to directly sourcing and distributing chilies to vendors to keep a lid on prices.
