Microplastic Rain, City Government Prepares Anticipatory Measures

Jakarta Provincial Government through Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency held a media briefing press conference regarding the finding of microplastic particles in rainwater and the extreme heat phenomenon in Jakarta on Friday, October 24, 2025.

The activity invited five speakers from Environmental Agency, Health Agency, BPBD, BMKG, and Research Professor of the National Research and Innovation Agency, Muhammad Reza Cordova.

Head of Jakarta Environmental Agency, Kuswanto appreciated the BRIN's finding related to microplastic particle in rainwater in Jakarta, as well as provides anticipatory efforts to respond this.
