Greater Jakarta Connected Projected to Strengthen Cultural Identity

The Jakarta government has signed the Greater Jakarta Connected Memorandum of Cooperation, which will strengthen local and Betawi cultural identities across the five agglomeration cities.

Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno stated that leading up to Jakarta’s quincentennial (500th anniversary) in 2027, the reinforcement of local and Betawi cultural identities serves as one of the key pillars of the city’s development.
