Rano Reaffirms Jakarta’s Commitment to Tobacco Control

Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno has reaffirmed the Jakarta government's commitment to tobacco control.

He delivered the statement during the 8th Asia Pacific Cities Alliance for Health and Development (APCAT) Summit, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in South Jakarta.

He stated that the government’s commitment is put into action through the Smoke-Free Zone Bylaw to protect the well-being of its residents.

He added that Jakarta’s continuous participation in the APCAT forum since 2012 serves as clear evidence of its resolve to regulate tobacco consumption.
