PT Transportation Jakarta (Transjakarta) is about to install a system of radio frequency identification (RFID) on Transjakarta bus along with automatic latch, in 2016.

Director of PT Transjakarta, Antonius NS Kosasih disclosed, to realzed it, his side plans to cooperate with bus and train companies from Singapore that have auto barrier system.

"Next year, we will bring experts from Singapore to sterilize Transjakarta bus lanes with RFID system," he told, Wednesday (11/4).

He explains, with this system, the latch on Transjakarta bus lane can open automatically, thus it does not need officer assistance.

"Its realization fund is Rp 60 billion. I've included it in the Development Planning Board (bappeda)," he explained.

He added, his party would also cooperate with Bina Marga Department in installation of separator using movable concrete barrier (MVB).

"For the beginning, we will do trial at corridor 6 (Ragunan-Dukuh Atas 2), MCB will be installed along 18 km," he finished.
