As much as 100 tons of trash from Cipinang Riverbank, Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas, cleaned and transported using heavy equipment. It is targeted to be done in a week. 

Seeing the volume, we predict it more than 100 tons. It takes a week to finish it

"In rainy season, the trash could be brought to the flow making the river clogged. That's why, we will dredg it before rainy season," said East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana. 

Musyawardhana explained, the trash has been piled up for 30 years. Now it has been mixed with mud thus forming sediment. 

Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Wahyu Pudjiastuti stated besides placing a becko, a number of trucks are also prepared in the field. After the dredging, the trash will be disposed to Bantar Gebang Landfill. 

"Seeing the volume, we predict it more than 100 tons. It takes a week to finish it," he disclosed.
