South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency controlled illegal parking at Cipulir Market, Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama District.

Operational Controller of the Sub-agency, Ebenezer Lumban Tobing said the enforcement was carried out using netting to provide a deterrent effect to illegal parking perpetrators who often use public facilities inappropriately and cause traffic jams.

"Many vehicles are parked on the roadside. This clearly disrupts the smooth flow of traffic and we took immediate action," he said, Wednesday (1/28).

He explained the activity involved 40 joint personnel successfully netting 23 motorcycles parked on the roadside.

"We impose sanctions in accordance with applicable provisions and direct them to be collected at the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency office," he explained.

Ebenezer continued, his side also provided guidance to vehicle owners so that they would not repeat their actions.

"We carry out this activity regularly. However, there are still some individuals who are stubborn," he admitted.
