Joint personnel of East Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency together with Orange Troops evacuated four broken and fallen trees in several locations.

Head Section of Green Belt and Cemetery of the Sub-agency, Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita said trees fell and were broken during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that hit East Jakarta on Monday (1/26).

"We deploy 24 personnel assisted by PPSU," he said, Tuesday (2/27).

The two trees that fell were a rubber tree with a diameter of around 30 centimeters on Jalan Raya Laksamana Malahayati, precisely in front of the Duren Sawit Police Station, and a breadfruit tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters on Jalan Tanah Mas III, Kayu Putih Urban Village.

Then, two other trees experienced splinters, namely an angsana tree with a diameter of 20 centimeters on Jalan Kayu Putih Selatan, Pulo Gadung Urban Village, and a spathodea tree with a diameter of 30 centimeters on Jalan Raya PKP, Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village.

"All the fallen trees and debris blocked the road, but none of the buildings or vehicles were affected. For the comfort and safety of road users, we immediately evacuated the area," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Abdul Gani (42), thanked the joint personnel for quickly removing the trees on Jalan Tanah Mas III.

"We would like to thank the personnel who quickly evacuated the fallen tree so that residents' activities were not disrupted," he admitted.
