The Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, expressed his deep condolences for the death of a car driver in the midst of traffic jams due to flooding in the Grogol Petamburan area, West Jakarta, Thursday (1/22).

I am sad about that

"I am sad about that. Because I have read the news about the person who died, even though I have not met him in person," he said, Friday (1/23).

He admitted that he had received the report and asked the Health Agency to collect data and find out the cause of death.

Based on information he received, the victim died during a traffic jam caused by flooding. Pramono also requested that relevant agencies, including the Public Works Agency, the Transportation Agency, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), work together to address the impact of the heavy rainfall over the past few days.

One of the policies taken by the Jakarta Provincial Government in response to the current situation is to implement Work From Home (WFH) for workers, Distance Learning (PJJ) for students, and extend the OMC.

"Traffic congestion is indeed a concern, which is why I've allowed work from home and school from home. This is to address that," he stated.
