QRIS Transactions in Jakarta Continue to Grow

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung reported an increase in digital transaction activity in the city, particularly through cashless payment channels like QRIS. He noted that payments using QRIS have seen a significant increase.

This was stated by Pramono when explaining the realization of the 2025 Fiscal Year Regional Budget in a press conference held at Balairung, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (1/21).

"As we all know, the QRIS payment channel has seen significant growth, especially in markets where digitalization increased by 47 percent during the competition we held last year," he said.

According to the data presented, QRIS transaction volume reached 5.02 billion, representing a 177 percent growth. This figure contributed 36.78 percent to the national total.

Meanwhile, there are 6.52 million QRIS merchants, experiencing growth of 14.45 percent, and contributing 15.54 percent to the national total.

QRIS users reached 6.14 million, growing at 3.44 percent. This figure contributed 10.42 percent to the national growth.

This increase in digital transactions is also evident in the rise in consumer activity. Pramono stated that household consumption contributed 63.43 percent to GDP.

"The Consumer Confidence Index in this case is quite optimistic and high, at 145.33 percent, reflecting a positive perception of the current stability of the Jakarta economy," he stated.
