As many as 60 personnel of West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency extinguished fire that burned four houses on Jalan Rawa Bahagia VII, RT 09/02, Grogol Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, Wednesday (1/21).

Head Section of Operational for the Sub-agency, Ahmad Syaiful, said the incident was reported at 9:46 AM. Then his side deployed firetrucks to the scene.

"For the initial stage, we deployed eight firetruck units with 40 personnel," he said.

To expedite the response, Syaiful continued, his team deployed four additional firefighting units with 20 personnel to the scene. As a result, the fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.

Although it did not result in any fatalities or serious injuries, Syaiful added, this incident affected four families with a total of seven people.

"The initial suspicion is that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. The total material losses are still being calculated," he stated.
