The historic heart of Jakarta, Kota Tua, remained a magnet for tourists throughout 2025, recording a total of 2,413,445 visitors.

The breakdown shows a strong local presence with 2.3 million domestic tourists, complemented by over 67,000 international visitors who flocked to the area during the year
Kota Tua UPK Head, Denny Aputra said, the data shows that Kota Tua is still ahead of the pack when it comes to Jakarta’s top historical destinations.
"This achievement reflects a major boost in tourism throughout 2025," he expressed, Wednesday (1/21).
According to him, this growth is no fluke, as they have been pulling out all the stops to strengthen supporting facilities and services for visitors.
Area activation through curated events is the bread and butter of Kota Tua’s strategy to drive repeat visits.
"Guaranteed service quality is also key to providing a hassle-free experience for tourists," he added.
He highlighted that the district has consistently hosted diverse historical and community programs, making the historic site more vibrant and accessible to the public.
Orderly planning and visitor-friendly public spaces are raising the bar for Kota Tua.
"This approach puts quality over quantity, ensuring the district’s growth remains sustainable," he explained.
By keeping the momentum alive through consistent activation and improved services, officials aim to deliver a world-class experience that supports Jakarta’s Global City ambitions.
