The East Jakarta PMI, Tuesday (1/20), distributed assistance for inundation survivors at RT 01/06 of Pulo Gebang Urban Village, Cakung.

Head Section of Public Relation of East Jakarta PMI, Agus Bastian said the aid was only sent today due to a request from the urban village office. The flooding occurred last Monday and has now receded.

"We are providing assistance to flood survivors in RW 06 Pulo Gebang this afternoon," he said.

The assistance provided consisted of six basic food packages, six mats, six blankets and six cleaning kits (brooms).

Sukron Maulana, Secretary of RT 01/06 of Pulo Gebang stated a number of residents were affected by yesterday's flooding, but they did not have to evacuate.

"This assistance is very useful for residents affected by flooding," he admitted.
