Central Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Sub-agency has given anti-rabies vaccines to 5,924 pets during January to December 2025.
They are enthusiastic
Head of Central Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Sub-agency, Siti Halimah said those 5,924 pets were 4,914 cats, 959 dogs, 27 weasels and 24 monkeys.
"They are enthusiastic about bringing their pets to be vaccinated," she said, Monday (1/19).
For 2026, Siti added, her team is targeting around 6,000 pet to receive free rabies vaccinations in an effort to keep Jakarta rabies-free.
"Vaccination is given to maintain Jakarta's rabies-free status, while also supporting Jakarta in becoming a healthy global city," she stated.
