Personnel of Cempaka Putih District's Water Resource Unit, Monday (1/19), is normalizinh water channel on Jalan D Baru of Swadaya Alley, Cempaka Putih Timur.

Head of Cempaka Putih District's Water Resource Unit, M Suhadi said the normalization involves 12 personnel. The work aims to increase the channel's capacity to be more optimal.

"Normalization uses 400 x 400 centimeter U-ditch concrete so that the channel can accommodate more water when it rains," he said.

According to him, the work is targeted for completion in early February.

Nasrullah (39), one of the local residents, appreciated the quick response of the unit personnel.

"The water channel is bigger and we are no longer worried about flooding," he admitted.
