Jakarta is set for a mixed bag of weather today, Monday (1/19), as the BMKG predicts persistent rainfall across the capital.

Today's temperature ranges from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius

"Cloudy and rain in the morning," stated BMKG's official site.

By midday, the Seribu Islands will enjoy a brief breather under cloudy skies, but the mainland will be under the weather as light to moderate rain sweeps through. South and East Jakarta are expected to bear the brunt of heavier moderate downpours during this period.

The conditions will likely take a turn for the worse by afternoon. While the Seribu Islands remains partly cloudy, moderate rain will blanket Central, North, West, and East Jakarta. South Jakarta, however, should brace for thunderstorms as lightning is expected to strike.

The rain is not ready to call it a day just yet; light drizzles are forecast to linger across all regions through the night.

Today's temperature ranges from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius, with air humidity between 70 and 97 percent.
