The Kebon Raya Pump House on Jalan Patra Raya, Duri Kepa Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, is operating at full capacity with five pumps to help prevent potential flooding in the area.

"Currently, all pumps are active due to the significant flooding on the road,"

Kebon Raya Pump House operator Akhmat Ari Susanto explained that the five pumps in operation include three with a capacity of 500 liters per second, one with 100 liters per second, and one with 1,000 liters per second.

"Currently, all pumps are active due to the significant flooding on the road," he shared on Monday (1/12).

Akhmat mentioned that these five pumps operate simultaneously to drain water from the micro channels around Jalan Patra to the Sekretaris River.

As a result, the flooding, which reached up to 40 centimeters in the morning, had receded to around five centimeters by late morning, and only remained in a few spots.

"If the rain is heavy, we may run all the pumps for a longer period. But if it's just light rain, it might be about two hours," he concluded.
