Dozens of Public Facility and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU) personnel were deployed to handle flooding in Pondok Labu Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district.
"...carried out patrols, cleared blocked channels,"
At least seven flooded points were recorded across four neighborhood units (RW) following continuous rainfall since this morning.
According to Pondok Labu Urban Village Head Nachnoer Vernier Atom, the floods were triggered by overflowing water from the Krukut River, Grogol River, and nearby connecting channels (PHB).
"This morning, flooding occurred at seven points across four RWs. The main cause was prolonged rainfall that led to the overflow of rivers and drainage channels," he mentioned on Monday (1/12).
To address the flooding, 20 PPSU personnel were deployed, assisted by personnel from related agencies.
"They carried out patrols, cleared blocked channels, and helped maintain access on main roads and within residential areas," he noted.
"We'll remain on standby until the weather fully returns to normal and we are ready to assist affected residents with sanitation and healthcare support," he added.
He detailed that flooding occurred on Jalan Bango II Bawah, RT 12/03; Jalan Melati II, RT 08/02; Jalan Melati I, RT 09/02; and Jalan Haji Kamang, RT 01/10.
It was also reported on Jalan Haji Kamang, RT 02/10; Jalan Pringgondani, RT 13/03; and Jalan Pondok Labu I, RT 07/07.
"Water levels vary between locations, ranging from 10 to 60 centimeters. We urge residents to remain alert for possible further flooding, especially if heavy rain continues," he asserted.
